  • Provides presentations to civic and community groups.

States that pass a law to opt-in to the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact agree that when states totaling 270 electoral votes have opted-in, each of those states will cast their own state's electoral votes for the candidate who wins the most popular votes nationwide.

That voting block (the states in purple) of at least 270 electoral votes means the candidate they vote for will win the electoral college and the presidency.

They are not agreeing to vote for a party, but for the candidate who receives the most individual votes nationwide.
